The Poisonwood Bible (Kingsolver, 1998) is not another teen love story. It has real historical events with real human experiences that adolescents are able to relate. It is a story of Nathan Price, a Baptist minister who drags his wife and four daughters to the Congo. Not only does Nathan drag his family to the Congo but the attitude that the Western world and the Christian religion is superior to the village people of the Congo.
