Rationale Writing Team

If you would like to be part of our rationale writing team, please fill out the form below. We are looking for writers to be involved in multiple ways, as your schedule allows. Please fill out this form to join the team, and we will follow up with additional information. There is a second form on this page for submitting completed rationales. Please scroll down for additional information. You can submit a rationale of your choice for review and potential addition to the rationale database, indicate if you would like to be assigned a title, or learn more about the process.

Submit a Rationale

Please use this form to submit a completed rationale. The Standing Committee Against Censorship has created a new How to Write a Rationale Template for 2022 that we ask all submitting members to use. We will pilot this format for one year and are open to additional feedback at IntellectualFreedom@ncte.org.

NCTE staff will follow up with next steps as soon as possible.
