Welcome to the NCTE event calendar! Here, you can find a list of events, including webinars, workshops, and in-person conferences. These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.
If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!
If you’re hosting an event you’d like to share, submit your event here.

Black Pasts, Black Futures
February 22, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Celebrate the writing of Black American authors with the University of Delaware community! The theme for this year’s African American Read-In is “Black Pasts, Black Futures.” Registration is required via this link: UD AARI 2023 Zoom Registration
You are invited participate however you feel most comfortable: by listening to other readers and performers, by reading prose or poetry by Black American writers, or by sharing your own work. Shared/Multivoice readings (readings by two or more participants together) are especially welcome.
This virtual event is free, open to the public, and aimed at a multi-generational audience. It is co-sponsored by the Department of English and the Center for Black Culture.
