Cone Elementary’s 2026 African American Read-In
Cone Elementary in Greensboro, NC, is excited to host our first African American Read-In on Wednesday, February 25, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the media center.
This event, established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English, features literacy as part of Black History Month.
Guests will join us to share works by African American authors with our students. We’re looking forward to hosting community members, district administrators, teachers and parents as readers.
