Elizabeth Smith Academy 2nd Annual African American Read-In

The Innovative Learning Academy at Elizabeth Smith Elementary held it’s 2nd annual AARI, led by Multicultural Committee Chair Kendra Logan. The event featured district personnel including Superintendent Kimberley Cantu, curriculum specialists, and student families who were engaged in various black history month performances by our students. Performances included 3rd grade’s living was museum, 4th grade poetry recital, and enjoyed the musical talents of our kindergarten students while all classrooms live streamed the event. Attendees enjoyed delicious refreshments and proceeded to read to every single classroom on our campus.
