Georgia State University Black Book Exchange – African American Read-In

February 25, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

For centuries, the words of African American writers have left a tremendous impact on the world. The Black Book Exchange, hosted by the Urban Literacy Collaborative and Clinic (ULCC) at Georgia State University, aims to celebrate Black authors, Black stories, and the Black experience. During this African American Read-In, we will highlight the brilliant words of African American authors who have convinced us of our worth, our beauty, and our power to change the world around us. We will bring their words to life through read-alouds, spoken word poetry, games, interactive workshops, and musical performances.
