Mommy & Me #AARI21: In-Utero Edition
February 4, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Science has shown that reading to your baby in the womb promotes brain activity and can promote early literacy skills and language development. Literacy skills continue to develop while reading to your baby after they are born. Even though a baby is not able to talk, they are learning about the world around them.
In light of this research and the fact that our family is growing to include our first grand/great-grandchild, we will have a mommy and me read-in of Ibram X. Kendi’s Antiracist Baby and and excerpt from author Mungi Ngomane’s Everyday Ubuntu: Living Better Together, The African Way. It’s a two-for-one read-in that you don’t want to miss!
