Welcome to the NCTE event calendar! Here, you can find a list of events, including webinars, workshops, and in-person conferences. These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.
If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!

Piedmont Arts African American Read-In and Family Day
February 25, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeTake part in the museum’s annual celebration of African American artists, performers and writers with story time, crafts and a public read-aloud. Educator Amy Stuart will lead a sing/play along with traditional instruments and history songs/games. Crafting activities include guitar decorating in honor of the current Freeman Vines “Hanging Tree Guitars” exhibit, and Basquit inspired self-portraits led by the Teen Arts Council! Attendees are then invited to join the reading circle and share their favorite works by African American artists and authors, either using their own material or borrowing from the on-site African American Literary Library.
