Service Learning Project

I read “Lillian’s Right to Vote: A Celebration of the Voting Rights Act of 1965” to my class (24 students). We compared the literature with the story we’re currently reading “The Hope Chest”. We sorted through the similarities and themes of the two stories using a Venn diagram. The frayer chart was used to learn unfamiliar words.
