NCTE Event Policies
So that everyone may learn and participate in a collaborative learning atmosphere, please take time to review, and then follow, NCTE’s Event Policies. All registrants must agree to the NCTE Event Policies. All #ELATE2025 presenters must register for the Conference.
Badge & Meal Card Pickup
All 2025 ELATE Summer Conference attendees, guests of attendees, and event staff are required to wear a badge at the College of Charleston. Please see below for dates, times, and locations for badge and meal card pickup.
- Thursday, July 10: 4:30–7:00 p.m. ET (Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, 161 Calhoun St)
- Friday, July 11: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET (School of Sciences and Mathematics Building, 202 Calhoun St)
- Saturday, July 12: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. ET (School of Sciences and Mathematics Building, 202 Calhoun St)
#ELATE2025 Searchable Program
As you begin planning your time in Charleston, we encourage you to visit the online searchable program for #ELATE2025. While there will be a small printed program available onsite, the searchable program is the source of the most up-to-date session information.

Meal Cards and Dining Hall
#ELATE2025 attendees who registered on or before June 29 will receive a meal card at badge pick-up. The following meals will be provided at the Liberty St. Food Hall, 30 St. Philip Street.

The following receptions with light fare are offered for all #ELATE2025 attendees:

Meander & Mingle
Grab your crew PLUS SOMEONE NEW and join us for an evening of community! On Thursday and Friday evening we’ll kick off Meander & Mingle at Charleston Beer Works for an evening of connection and solidarity. Whether you can join us Thursday and/or Friday evening, we hope to see you out and about in Charleston! See the map of locations.

Members of the conference planning committee have generously put together two resources for attendees.

Presenter Information
Please check the online listing of sessions or your speaker service center to verify your session date, time, and room number as some adjustments have been made to the schedule. Presenters can expect the following in session rooms:
- Projector with standard HDMI hookup (remember to bring your own device and dongle)
- Projection screen
- Sound patch
The Wi-Fi bandwidth at the College of Charleston will likely not support streaming video. Please bring your presentation materials and slides on your personal device.
Dorm Information
#ELATE2025 attendees who registered for dorm room accommodations at the College of Charleston should have received relevant information from NCTE staff and the College about your stay. Dorm rooms will be offered at the George Street Apartments.
Parking Information
Parking through the College of Charleston Housing is available for $15 per day if you reach out by July 8, 2025. Email summerhousing@cofc.edu with your arrival and departure dates to receive a vehicle registration document and payment link.
Several garages on campus offer visitor parking. See the College’s Visitor Parking page for location information and the parking map for exact locations.
