February 17, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

NHBW, Inc. DC Chapter hosts the African-American Read-In at Washington, DC’s Bridges Academy Charter School that serves K-8th graders. The interactive read-along features two award-winning books written and illustrated by African-Americans. The two sessions will be preceded by guided Mindfulness Meditation and Movement activities.

Bridges Academy is the beneficiary of year round book donations that feed a designated “book corner.”

The private virtual activity will host an expected 180 students and 20 teachers and administrators
