Talking Points Journal

The Talking Points journal helps promote literacy research and the use of whole language instruction in classrooms. It provides a forum for parents, classroom teachers, and researchers to reflect on literacy and learning.

Join LLA now for access to the upcoming special issue of Talking Points to be published in 2027 that focuses on negotiating prescribed literacy curricula!

PLUS: Write for Talking Points! Talking Points accepts manuscripts that focus on teaching and/or learning topics or issues important to researchers, practitioners, and social and family communities. Additionally, LLA members are invited to submit Classroom Voices pieces, which are shorter alternative pieces that highlight the richness of comprehensive literary practices in the classroom.
