We are currently developing the Local Engagement Committee that will organize activities both within the Convention Center and in local venues when NCTE comes to Baltimore, MD November 21-24, 2019.
Local Engagement Committees have become a consistent and important presence in our Conventions since 2017. In the past, they have planned activities ranging from school visits, to community conversations, to book drives, and more. They draw their strength and expertise from the vibrant communities in which we are able to learn each year, and the members who volunteer their time and effort to this work.
Time commitment varies by project, but there is something for everyone to do who wishes to participate.
