NCTE Children's Poetry Awards Committee Application 2024

Participation in all committee dialogue and meetings, particularly during the selection process, is vital to the selection of quality books that speak to the specific award’s purpose. This includes in-person meeting participation at the NCTE Annual Convention each November. The final deliberation meeting takes place at the Convention, as does the Children’s Book Awards Luncheon (where winners are honored and announced), and during additional sessions related to the awards. In-person attendance is an important part of the work of this committee. Members will need to pay for all expenses related to this attendance, including a ticket to the Luncheon. Scholarships for registration are typically available from NCTE, and committee members are welcome to apply. If institutional funds are available from your employer, NCTE can provide any needed documentation to apply for or receive reimbursement.(Required)
