2025 NCTE Editor Searches

English Leadership Quarterly

NCTE is seeking the next editor(s) of English Leadership Quarterly journal. In April 2026, the term of the present editor (Henry “Cody” Miller) will end. Interested persons/teams should submit an application, available here by no later than August 1, 2025. Applications should be accompanied by the applicant’s CV or resume, one sample of published writing (article or chapter), and a letter specifying financial support from appropriate administrators at applicants’ institutions if support is available. Applicants are urged to explore with their administrators the feasibility of assuming the responsibilities of a journal editor. Classroom teachers, and teams of classroom teachers, are eligible and encouraged to apply. All applicants must be current members of NCTE at the time of application and, if selected, retain their membership throughout the editorship. Finalists will be interviewed in August 2025. Pending appointment by the Executive Committee, the selected applicant will be notified and transition into the role as editor, preparing for their first issue in August 2026.
