Celebrating Aretha Franklin: A Literary Tribute to The Queen of Soul

Join us for a special reading of “R-E-S-P-E-C-T: Aretha Franklin, The Queen of Soul” by Carole Weatherford, a captivating work rooted in African-American oral traditions. This event, hosted by the Fayetteville State University English Department, is part of our Black History Month celebration. The reading will be followed by a discussion of the impact of Aretha Franklin’s legacy on music, culture, and civil rights.
