NCTE Annual Convention comes but once a year, and we are mere days away from that wonderful moment when we will all come together in Minneapolis to lead sessions, learn from our peers, and maybe even geek out over meeting a favorite author or two. The anticipation is palpable!
Whether you’re a newbie, veteran, or armchair participant, we hope you’ll join the #nctechat fun this Sunday at 8 PM ET, as NCTE member Sarah Mulhern Gross and Local Committee Chair Sandy Hayes get you pumped up for Annual Convention.
During the chat, we hope to reflect on this year’s Convention theme: Responsibility, Creativity, and the Arts of Language, but we also hope you’ll just come to just share your enthusiasm with fellow members and convention-goers.
To get you thinking more about the theme of this year’s Convention, consider these four questions that anchored the call for proposals:
- What arts of language?
- How can we advance our expertise?
- How might we teach beyond classrooms?
- What makes healthy teachers?
In addition to thinking about the Convention theme, we look forward to hearing some ticks and trips from past convention attendees, as well as all the enthusiastic anticipation from newbies and veterans alike. We look forward to chatting with you on Sunday!
