English Journal
English Journal is NCTE's award-winning journal of ideas for English language arts teachers in junior and senior high schools and middle schools.
Call for Reviewers
The editors of English Journal are always seeking those who would like to impact the profession by serving as a reviewer. Every article you see in the journal is anonymously peer reviewed by at least three people in the field of secondary literacy education. In order for English Journal to maintain high standards, we would like input from people with diverse professional and lived experiences including teachers, literacy coaches, teacher-educators, and researchers. We try to match reviewers’ areas of expertise with the content of the submission and are especially in need of reviewers with experience in critical literacy, digital literacies including ChatGPT, social justice literacies, and biliteracy as well as knowledge about affirming queer and trans* identities, anti-racist pedagogy, YA literature, second language acquisition, and climate change. If you are interested in serving as a reviewer, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/m2KCkwDdt4kHnGPZ7. You may also email us at EnglishJournal@ncte.org to express your interest.
