What policies in your school, school system, or state support learners with special needs? What about at the federal level? Are there things you would like to see change?
The 2015 Education Policy Platform addresses this issue particularly with relation to assessment: “Use proven strategies to help students who are not making appropriate progress toward educational goals.” But historically NCTE has considered this issue in all aspects of literacy learning.
