The International Council of Teachers of English (ICTE) brings NCTE international teachers from around the world together, offering support and professional development to further enhance teaching and student learning. Our affiliate draws on a wealth of NCTE support materials and will be expanding this knowledge-set to cater specifically to educators interested in international education.

Kansas Association of Teachers of English (KATE)

The editors of Kansas English invite submissions for the 2023 issue of the award-winning peer-reviewed journal of the Kansas Association of Teachers of English (KATE). Deadline for submissions is Jan. 15, 2023.  KE publishes a variety of works on subjects of interest to English and literacy teachers at all levels, including practitioner pieces, scholarly articles, reflective essays, interviews, book reviews, teaching tips, and creative works (including photos and artwork). Kansas English publishes about 75 percent of the submissions it receives each year. KATE invites breakout session proposals and registrations for the KATE Fall Conference, which will take place October 28-29, 2022, in Wichita, Kansas. The conference theme is “ELA as Art and Science,” and keynote speakers include award-winning YA author Jeff Zentner and 2020 National Teacher of the Year Tabatha Rosproy.
