Vice President—two candidates drawn from the Elementary Section (Section means voting section, regardless of teaching level); one to be elected
Secondary Representative-at-Large—two candidates, who must be members of the Secondary Section and classroom teachers (grades 9–12) at the time of nomination; one to be elected
Trustees of the Research Foundation—two candidates, who must be voting members of NCTE; one to be elected
NCTE Nominating Committee candidates shall represent geographic diversity and be grouped by voting Section (Elementary, Middle, Secondary, College). For 2023–24:

IT IS IMPORTANT to submit nominations by November 15, 2023.
NOTE: Most nominating committees contact only those individuals who will be formally invited to run for office. Results of the NCTE, NCTE Section, ELATE, and LLA Nominating Committees’ deliberations are announced on the NCTE website and in the appropriate March and April journals. If you wish to notify your nominees before then, you can get the final slate of candidates by contacting elections@ncte.org after February 1, 2024.
