Vice President — two candidates drawn from the Secondary Section (Section means voting section, regardless of teaching level); one to be elected
Elementary Representative-at-Large — two candidates who must be classroom teachers (grades Prek-5) at the time of nomination; members of the Elementary Section; one to be elected
Middle Representative-at-Large — two candidates who must be classroom teachers (grades 6-8) at the time of nomination; members of the Middle Section; one to be elected
Trustees of the Research Foundation — four candidates who must be voting members of NCTE; two to be elected
NCTE Nominating Committee candidates shall represent geographic diversity and be grouped by voting Section (elementary, middle, secondary, college). For 2022-23 —
- six members of the Elementary level section; two to be elected
- three members of the Middle Level section; one to be elected
- three members of the Secondary level section; one to be elected
- three members of the College level section; one to be elected

Secondary Section:
four candidates (Secondary Section members) for the Secondary Section Steering Committee; two to be elected
six candidates (NCTE members) for the 2023-24 Secondary Section Nominating Committee; three to be elected
College Section:
six candidates (College Section members) for the College Section Steering Committee; three to be elected
six candidates (NCTE members) for the 2023-24 College Section Nominating Committee; three to be elected

English Language Arts Teacher Educators (ELATE):
six candidates (NCTE/ELATE members) for the ELATE Executive Committee; three to be elected
eight candidates (NCTE/ELATE members) for the 2023-24 ELATE Nominating Committee; five to be elected
Literacies and Languages for All (LLA)
four candidates for LLA Executive Board Members; two to be elected
Two-Year College English Association (TYCA):
two candidates for TYCA Associate Chair (NCTE/TYCA members); one to be elected
two candidates for TYCA Secretary (NCTE/TYCA members); one to be elected

IT IS IMPORTANT to submit nominations by November 20, 2022.
NOTE: Most nominating committees contact only those individuals who will be formally invited to run for office. Results of the NCTE Section, ELATE, and TYCA Nominating Committees’ deliberations are announced on the NCTE website and in the appropriate March and April journals. If you wish to notify your nominees before then, you can get the final slate of candidates by contacting elections@ncte.org after February 1, 2023.
